About Bohol

Bohol is an island province located in central Philippines and is the 10th largest island of the country. It's about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Manila by plane and about 24+ hours by ship.

The capital city of the province is Tagbilaran, known as the city of friendship.

The province is known for:

  • the Chocolate Hills
  • white-sand beaches
  • the tarsier
  • the blood compact or sandugo
  • the Loboc children's choir
  • the kalamay, a local delicacy
The province is one of the favorite tourist destination in the country. Hotels and resorts are being built to accommodate the tourists flocking especially during summer months.

White sand beaches are located mostly in Panglao and Anda towns and the two are among the most visited area for tourists visiting Bohol.

HOW TO GET TO BOHOL
For tourists coming from outside the country, they can book a flight to Manila, then another one from Manila to Bohol. Another route also is a flight to Cebu, then from Cebu to Bohol by fastcraft, either by Supercat, Weesam Express or Oceanjet.

For tourists coming from nearby provinces, they can book a ferry to Tagbilaran City port. Other possible points of entry are Jagna Sea Port, Tubigon Sea Port, Talibon Sea Port and Ubay Sea Port.
